Guest Blog | Return On Investment, from Life On Wheels
It’s exciting to be able to highlight organizations making a huge impact for the Kingdom of God. One such ministry is Life on Wheels. The services they provide not only give life but allow life to be lived abundantly, which hits very close to home for me personally. It’s a privilege to introduce today’s guest blogger, Robyn Blessing with Life on Wheels. Enjoy!
Return On Investment, from Life On Wheels
Investment: an act of devoting time, effort, or energy to a particular undertaking with the expectation of a worthwhile result.
Life On Wheels is very conscious of return on investment when it comes to investing our money. You can find numerous columns, blogs, and articles on our website to assist you with strategies and advice regarding giving. It is wise to think about where to invest the money that you work so hard to acquire.
Have you ever thought about the ROI you are receiving on your time and efforts? We all have the same number of hours, minutes, and seconds every day, but the ROI for each person can be vastly different. As Christ-followers, our charge is to make the most of God’s INVESTMENT in us: “Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.” (1st Corinthians 6:19-20)
Before the world was created, God had a rescue plan for mankind, including you and me. Jesus was the ultimate investment, and the plan was in place before we ever entered the world. God has a plan for each of us and has invested His only Son to make sure that we can be a part of His family. He saved us from eternal separation from Him, but His plan does not stop there. He expects ROI.
In Matthew 25:14-30, Jesus recounts the Parable of the Talents. If you notice, the Master gave each servant TALENTS “according to his abilities.” The Lord KNOWS your abilities because He placed them within you! It is up to you to step out and step into the opportunities He gives you to help others and further His kingdom. Even though they are your talents, you may not always feel comfortable using them, at least at first. But the great thing about using talents for the Lord is that He has already created a way for us to use them and guaranteed our SUCCESS! As stated in Ephesians 2:10, “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”
At Life On Wheels, we have the following MISSION: We use the power of ultrasound to serve women, save babies, and share Jesus. So far, we have served 4310 women, seen 271 women cancel their abortions choosing life for their babies (that is 18 kindergarten classes!), and shared Jesus thousands of times. We have also been able to witness 134 clients and their family members profess faith in Jesus Christ!
God is calling YOU to the mission field, but it may look quite different than what you imagined. It may be your neighborhood, your office, or your softball team. But we all are called to GO and share the Good News! When you decide to invest your talents into the things that God has prepared for you, you can be sure there will be ramifications throughout ETERNITY: “And this is the promise that he made to us—eternal life.” (1st John 2:25)
As you share the Gospel with people around you know that even if they do not appear to believe, God is the one who will draw them to Himself.
Ezekiel 3:11 And go to the exiles, to your people, and speak to them and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD,’ whether they hear or refuse to hear.
