Independence, Freedom, and Liberty: A Human Trafficking Account
George Shamblin2024-07-03T15:26:15+00:00“It’s the most astonishing testimony ever told to me,” stated my missionary friend from Honduras. Considering how the opening scene of the record-setting movie Sound of Freedom took place in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, the same city where Melissa’s story unfolds, our attention is captivated at the outset. Not only did I have the privilege of working alongside Melissa at a ministry for abandoned children in her homeland, but she bravely agreed to let me record her story, which I heard for the very first time.
On this 4th of July, as we celebrate our nation’s independence, freedom, and liberty, let’s also remember those who are still fighting for theirs. Please be willing to give my friend 25 minutes of your time and then ask yourself, “What has to be done?”
George
